Meet Saxylady, a saxophone player and performer based in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Sarah Lyttle is proud to present Saxylady, where she expertly blends funky, uplifting house beats with a soulful touch of sax to create an irresistible groove that will keep you moving all night long.

Sarah has been in the Queenstown Lakes District for 25 years. An avid skier, climber, mountain biker and mum to two young girls, Sarah is also a keen musician playing saxophone. Having learnt from the age of 8, she has spent nearly 3 decades playing in big bands, 8 of these most recent years both as a player, member and secretary of the Queenstown Jazz Orchestra.

In 2022 she decided to pursue her true passion of playing funky house with her friend and DJ Sean Caird AKA The Postman, born and bred in Arrowtown. They played their first gig together in July 2022 and the momentum has gathered since, being requested to play for local festivals, clubs, bar, private events and recently opening for Sachi at Coronet Peak.

Sarah comes from a background in project marketing, brand development and non for profit governance; previously playing a pivotal role in the launch of the newly established Three Lakes Cultural Trust, was a trustee and Chairperson of Turn up the Music Charitable Trust, currently the CEO of the NZ Nature Fund and Chairperson of the newly formed Songcatcher Youth Trust with Jackie Bristow focused on 7-10 year olds singer songwriting. Sarah does not simply provide music to her clients, she understands events, people and the importance of professionalism and delivering exceptional results..
